Sad news folks...the last Lamborghini Murcielago has left the production floor in Sant'Agata Bolognese :(
The Murcielago is my dream car and it is no more... On the bright side, they have a replacement in the works at the moment and according to Lamborghini it will be officially revealed next year. If you were thinking of ordering one, sorry, you'll just have to settle for the Gallardo...yeah, I'm not fond of that idea either. Don't get me wrong, I love the Gallardo, but the Murcielago was incredible. Sad, sad times...sigh.

New Mercedes Wagon
I love Mercedes-Benz. I do, I really do, and I also have a strange love of sports wagons (Subaru Legacy wagon, BMW 3-series, Cadillac CTS wagon, etc.), but this is just looks bad. I personally think that the Mercedes C Class is beautiful. I even test drove one in the delusional thought that I could actually afford one and they are very, very nice, probably the nicest entry level luxury car in the industry. But this....I don't think so. Kind of looks like it was built out of left over parts. It's got the body of a CLS Sedan with the roof and chassis of a R class crossover. Just kinda ugly. Until now, I had thought that Mercedes-Benz had one of the best looking lineups in the industry, but with this and the new SLS, I'm not so sure anymore. The SLS is a great performance car, but let's face it, it's ugly. So is this. They are saying it will have the same powerhouse options as the CLS sedan which had a 3.5 liter V6, a 4.7 liter V8, or a 5.5 liter twin turbo'd V8. Any way you put it, it just kind of screams "I'm an irresponsible parent !", because the only people that will buy this will be parents with too much money and no taste in family oriented cars. Plus, no wagon really needs a twin turbo'd engine, that's just kind of overdoing it. Anyways. It'll be interesting to see the response and reviews of it from auto experts. I wonder what Jeremy Clarkson will have to say about it.....
Jeep Platform could give life to Maserati, Alfa SUV's
Okay, so I was just reading an article about how Fiat is thinking of using the same platform that the new Jeep Grand Cherokee is built on, to make a Maserati or Alfa Romeo SUV. Being a fan of Italian car design, how badass would a Maserati SUV look ?? The Quattroporte and GranTurismo are absolutely gorgeous cars, just think of they could to an SUV. Maserati has done an SUV concept before I believe but very little every came of it. It kind of looked like a jacked-up Quattroporte, just not as visually awe inducing. I bet there will be a bit of uproar from Maserati purists, much like there was when Porsche announced they were sending the Cayenne into production back in the early 2000's, but look how well that has worked for them. The Cayenne is sporty, luxurious, and fairly common anymore. The problems will probably come with the price. Porsche has multiple models that cheaper than the Cayenne, such as the Boxster, and base model 911's. Maserati's cheapest model is the GranTurismo base and it's starting price is $118,000+. They'd have to make it affordable for the upper tiers of the middle class, much like the Cayenne, for it to truly be successful, unless they just want to keep it exclusive, either way, I think it's a great idea. Just think, am SUV with a Ferrari-made V8 or V10 engine. That would be crazy. I'll post more on this when there's more info.....
